The ''Vita Dominæ Hildeburgis'' names “Rob ertus et Wiltinus” as sons of “Goellus” and his wife “Elisabet h” [1]. The charter recording the donation of "femina Hildeburgis… " to the abbey of Saint-Martin de Pontoise names "Elisabeth" as wife o f her son "Ascelinus… Goellus" and their sons "Robertus et Willelmus " [2]. "Hildeburgis mater Goelli de Ibriaco" donated property to the a bbey of Saint-Martin de Pontoise with the consent of "Goellus… uxore mque suam Isabel filiosque suos Willelmum atque Robertum" by charter d ated [1116] [3]. Son of Ascelin according to Orderic Vitalis, who spec ifies that he inherited the castle of Ivry after the death of his brot her Robert and records his marriage [4]. He rebelled against Henry I K ing of England in Sep 1123, with his brothers-in-law Waléran de Meula n, Hugues de Montfort and Hugues de Châteauneuf [5].
