The ''Historia Nivernensium Comitum'' names "Bodonem" as t he son of "Hildegarii nepoti Landrico" and his wife "[ex] stirpis Ande gavorum", specifying that "Bodo de Montibus" was his godfather and tha t Bodo built "castellum… Moncellis" [1]. Seigneur de Monceaux-le-Com te. "Bodo" donated property "in pago Matisconense in villa Lanco" acqu ired from "Rainaldo cognate meo" to Cluny "pro receptione filii mei" b y charter dated Nov 950, subscribed by "Gisoni, Attoni, Landrici" [2] , although it is not certain that this is the same Bodo. Although th e identity of "Rainaldo cognate meo" has not been established, the nam e suggests a family connection with the Comte de Nevers. Settipani sug gests that he was related to the Comtes d'Anjou, through Bodo's mothe r [3]. m ---. The name of Bodo's wife is not known.
