Her parentage is suggested by Orderic Vitalis who records that t he great-grandfather of Rotrou [III] Comte du Perche was Guerin "que m dæmones suffocaverunt" [Motey (1920), p. 153]. It is also suggeste d by the reference in the same source to her son Geoffroy having a jus tified claim to Domfront, a castle which had been constructed by Adeli se´s paternal grandfather. The source which confirms her name has no t been identified. |
