| Nota | http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/SCOTTISH%20NOBILITY.htm ORABILIS (-be fore 30 Jun 1203). "Nesius filius Willi et Orabile filia sua heres" do nated "ecclesiam de Losresc" to St Andrew´s priory by undated charte r [1]. Her first marriage is confirmed by the undated charter under wh ich her son "Seherus de Quency comes Wintonie" donated "totam terram d e Duglyn", held by "Nesus filius Willelmi avus meus" to Cambuskennet h priory [2]. Her second marriage is indicated by the undated charte r under which "Orabilis comitissa de Mar filia Nesii filii Willi" conf irmed the donation of "ecclesiam de Lochres" made by "pater meus Nesiu s filius Willi" to St Andrew´s priory, witnessed by "Duncano comite d e Fif…" [3]. Her third marriage is indicated by the undated charte r under which "Nesius filius Willelmi" donated "ecclesiam de Lochres " to St Andrew´s priory witnessed by "Dunecano comite de Fif… Ada m filio Dunec et Horabili sponsa sua…" [4]. There seems little doub t that the witness was Orabilis, daughter of the donor, and her thir d husband, as the name is so unusual. "Orabilis filia et heres Dñi Ne sii" donated property to St Andrew´s priory by undated charter witnes sed by "…Patricio filio Nesii, Dunc filio Elin…" [5]. "Orabilis fi lia et heres Dñi Nesii" donated "Davach ictar Hathyn" to St Andrew´ s priory by undated charter witnessed by "…G. com de Mar… Patrici o filio Nesii, Duncan filio Emelin…" [6]. Pope Innocent III confirme d the possessions of Inchaffray Abbey, including the donation of lan d "in territorio de Gasgt" by "quondam Orable matris Seer de Quinci" , by bull dated 30 Jun 1203 [7]. Orabilis presumably died before her f irst husband, given the undated charter under which her son "Seerus d e Quinci" confirmed the donation of "Davac Icthar Hathyn" made by "mat ris mea" to St Andrew´s priory which was witnessed by "…Roberto d e Quincy patre meo…" [8].
