"Ricardi filii Gulberti, Nigelli vicecomitis … Storstingi vicecomitis" signed the charter dated 1027 (redated t o [1017]) in which "secundus nominis mei Normannorum dux Ricardus" con firmed donations to Fécamp abbey [1]. "…Torstingus vicecomes…" wi tnessed the charter dated Aug 1027 under which Richard II Duke of Norm andy donated property to the abbey of Bernay [2]. "…Turstingi viceco mitis…" witnessed the charter dated to [1030] under which Robert I I Duke of Normandy donated "in comitatu Abrincatensi villam… Sanct i Johannis" to the abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel [3]. "…Nigelli vicecom itis, Tursteni vicecomitis… Willelmi Arcacensis comitis, Godefridi v icecomitis, Rodgerii filii Rodulfi, Wimundi…" witnessed the charte r dated to [1040] under which Guillaume Comte de Talou donated propert y to Jumièges [4]. "Turstin vicecomes" witness the donation to Sainte -Trinité de Rouen of "Gozelinus vicecomes" dated [1038/50] [5]. "…N igelli vicecomitis, Tursteni vicecomitis, Godefredi vicecomitis…" su bscribed the charter dated to [1040] under which "Vuillelmus Ricardi m agni ducis Normannorum filius" donated property to the abbey of Jumiè ges [6]. "…Turstinci vicecomitis… Turstinci Gazel… Richardi fili i Turstinci, Roberti fratris eius…" witnessed the charter dated to [ 1047 or before] under which Guillaume II Duke of Normandy confirmed th e donation by "Adelelmi… Beatricis uxor eius… Rotberti filius eius " to the abbey of Mont-Saint-Michel [7]. Guillaume of Jumièges record s that “Turstenus cognomento Guz, Ausfridi Dani filius... præses Ox imensis” rebelled against Guillaume II Duke of Normandy at “Falesi æ castellum”, which was attacked by the duke´s forces led by “Ro dulfus Waceiensis magister militum”, and was forced to flee into exi le, dated to early during the reign of Duke Guillaume II from the cont ext [8]. m ---.
