Orderic Vitalis names him and his mo ther [1]. "…Rannulfus filius Rannulfi vicecomitis… Rannulfus vicec omes" witnessed the charter dated 24 Apr 1089 under which Robert III D uke of Normandy donated property to Bayeux cathedral [2]. A charter o f King Henry II records donations to York St Mary, including the donat ion of “ecclesias de Apelby… sancti Michaelis et sancti Laurentii |
