The ''Genealogica Comitum Flandriæ Bertin iana'' names "filiam Gisleberti comitis Odgivam" as wife of "Balduinu m Barbatum" [1], the marriage presumably being arranged by Emperor Hei nrich II as part of the alliance negotiated in 1012. Ogive is shown a s daughter of Graf Friedrich in ''Europäische Stammtafeln'' [2]. Ther e is no reference to Friedrich's older brother Giselbert having marrie d and had children. The chronology does not favour Ogive being the dau ghter of Giselbert, son of Friedrich. It is therefore assumed that th e reference to "Gisleberti comitis" is an error, although the primar y source has not yet been identified which confirms that Friedrich wa s Ogive's father. The ''Annales Blandinienses'' record the death in 10 30 of "Odgiva comitissa" [3]. The Memorial of "Odgiva… Balduino domi no" records her death "IX Mar" [4].
