"Amalricus miles" founded the pri ory of Saint-Thomas d´Epernon, with the consent of "conjugis mee… B ertredis… et filiorum meorum… Simonis… atque Mainerii", by chart er dated [11 Apr 1052/Jul 1053] [3]. He succeeded his father as Seigne ur de Montfort and completed the construction of the castle known as M ontfort-l'Amaury which was started by his father [4].
