Rud olf III King of Burgundy confirmed the donation of "medietatem ecclesi æ S. Gorgonii in villa… Albonna in episcopate Vesontiensi", and oth er property which "Lambertus pater eius" had accepted from the king, b y "Hermenburgæ nobiliori schrinæ ortæ" whom "Umberto" had married , by charter dated 16 Apr 1028 [1]. The necrology of Besançon cathedr al records the death in Oct “E” of “Ermenburgis mater Hugonis Bi suntiensis Archeip.” [2]. Humbert [II] & his wife had three children : [1] Carutti, D.
