The ''Vita Arnulfi'' names "Emmonem et Ott onem fratrem eius" as sons of Liutgarde, daughter of Albert [I] Comt e de Namur [1]. From a chronological point of view, it is not possibl e for Emmo and his brother to have been the children of Otto de Looz w ho is recorded in other primary sources as the husband of Liutgarde d e Namur. The primary source which confirms that Emmo and Otto were th e sons of Comte Giselbert has not yet been identified, although this s uggested parentage would fit the chronology of the family. Comte de Lo oz. The necrology of Liège Saint-Lambert records the death "XVII Ka l Feb" of "Emononis comitis" [2]. m ---. The name of Emmo´s wife is n ot known.
