Zonaras names "Maria… Joannis Uladisthlavi uxo r" and adds that the couple had three sons and six daughters [Zonara s II, Liber XVII, IX, col. 166]. Cedrenus records that "Joannis Bladis thlabi viduam cum filiis tribus et sex filiabus…" submitted to Emper or Basileios II (in 1018), adding that the couple had three other sons , of whom two had escaped "in montem Tmuroum" [Cedrenus II, col. 202] . Cedrenus records that "Mariam Joannis quondam uxorem" was sent to Co nstantinople "cum filiis suis" with gifts [Cedrenus II, col. 207]. Sh e settled in Constantinople where she adopted the name ZOE and becam e patrikia in 1019. Cedrenus records that "Prusianus Bulgarus magister … mater eius" was exiled by Emperor Romanos Argyros, dated to [1029/ 31] [Cedrenus II, col. 219]. |
