The ''Genealogica Comitu m Flandriæ Bertiniana'' names "filiam Bernardi Saxonum comitis Gertru dem" as wife of "Robertus", specifying that she was "viduam Florenti i comitis Fresonum" [1]. The ''Chronologia Johannes de Beke'' record s the marriage of Count Floris and "Gertrudim filiam Hermanni ducis Sa xonum" [2], "Hermanni" being an error for "Bernardi" as the former wou ld be impossible chronologically. "Gertrudis" is named as wife of "Rob erti Frisonis" in the ''Cartulaire de Saint-Bertin'', which does not g ive her origin [3]. The ''Genealogia ex stirpe Sancti Arnulfi'' name s "Idam Namucensem… uxorem Angelberti marchionis et Gertrudem comiti ssam Flandrensem" as children of "Bernardum" [4]. The ''Annales Egmund ani'' specify that Robert acquired the "comitatum Hollandiæ et Fresi |
