"Leutardi germanum Stephani comitis" subscribe d the charter dated 811 under which "Stephanus… comes… Amaltrudi s comitissa" donated property to "Inchadus Parisiace urbis episcopus " [''Cartulaire-Général de Paris'', I, 29, p. 37]. The primary sourc e which identifies that he was the son of Gerard has not so far been i dentified. Comte de Fézensac. The ''Vita Hludowici Imperatoris'' reco rds the death of "Burgundio" [in 801] and that "comitatus eius Fedenti acus" was granted to "Liutardo" [''Vita Hludowici Imperatoris'' 13, MG H SS II, p. 612]. The ''Vita Hludowici Imperatoris'' names "Liutardum , Isembardum" [in 813] [''Vita Hludowici Imperatoris'' 16, MGH SS II , p. 615]. The necrology of the abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés recor ds the death "III Non Jan" of "Leuthardi comitis" [''Obituaires de Sen s Tome I.1, Abbaye de Saint-Germain-des-Prés'', p. 247]. |
