The ''Genealogica Arnulfi Comitis'' names (in order) "Karolu m quoque postumum et Irmintrudim" as children of "Hlodovicus rex… e x Adelheidi regina" [2]. According to Settipani, Ermentrudis was the d aughter of King Louis by his first marriage [3], although he cites n o primary source on which this is based. It is certainly correct tha t the chronology is tight for Ermentrud to have been the daughter of h er father's second marriage, assuming that the affiliation of her supp osed daughter Kunegund is correct as shown here. m ---. Nothing is kno wn about the husband of Ermentrud. Ermentrud & her husband had one chi ld [1] Rösch, p. 100, although the author gives no information on wh ich he bases this estimation.
