Nota

http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/BURGUNDY%20Kingdom.htm GERAUD ([1010/ 20]-after [1061]). "Rodulfus rex et Mathildis soror eius" are named a s children of "Mathilde… filia… Gerberga" in the Continuator of Fl odoard, which specifies that Mathilde was mother of Berta who was moth er of "Geroldus Genevensis" [1]. As Géraud´s son Conon was probabl y adult when he donated property, recorded in a charter dated to [1061 ], it is unlikely that Géraud was born much later than [1020]. Comt e de Genève. Géraud Comte de Genève supported the challenge by Eude s II Comte de Blois to the succession of Emperor Konrad I [II] King o f Germany to the kingdom of Burgundy after the death of King Rudolf II I in 1033 [2]. Herimannus records that "Reginolf et Gerolt Burgundione s" submitted to Heinrich III King of Germany "apud Solodurum" [Solothu rn] in 1045 [3]. "Cono Geraldi comitis filius" donated property to th e abbey of Ainay, with the consent of "Geraldi comitis patris sui", b y charter dated to [1061] [4]. [m firstly GISELA, daughter of ---.
