The list of obituaries of Empress Eirene Doukas's famil y records the death "9 Jan, monk Michael, brother of the Empress" (''R evue des études byzantines'' 63 [2005], pp. 41-71). The name of Mikha el Doukas's wife is not known. However, a couple named Mikhael Douka s and his wife Euphrosyne are attested, the husband possibly being th e son of Andronikos Doukas (MB, in a private email to the author date d 8 Nov 2006). |
