The testa ment of “R. Berengarius… comes et marchio Provincie et comes Forca lquerii”, dated 20 Jun 1238, names “Margaritam filiam nostrum… r eginam Francie… Elionors filiam nostrum… reginam Anglie… Sancia m filiam nostram” and appoints “Beatricem filiam nostrum heredem g eneralem” [1]. She succeeded in 1245 as BEATRICE Ctss de Provence, i n accordance with the testament of her father. The ''Annales Sancti Vi ctoris Massilienses'' record the marriage "1246 mense Ian pridie Kal F eb" of "Karolus comes, frater Lodovici Francorum regis" and "Beatric e filia comitis Provincie Raimundi Berengarii bone memorie" [2]. A sec ond testament of "Beatrix relicta… Dom. Reymundi Berengarii comiti s provinciæ", dated 22 Feb 1264, adds bequests to "…Beatrice Andega vie comitisse" [3]. The testament of "Beatrix… Regina Sicilie, Ducat us Apuliæ et Principatus Capuæ, Andegavensis, Provinciæ et Forcalqu erii Comitissa" is dated "die Mercurii in crastino Beatorum Peteri e t Pauli Apostolorum" in 1266, with bequests to "filium nostrum Philipp um… Domini Caroli… Regis Siciliæ… mariti nostri… filiam nostr am Blancham maritatam Roberto Flandrensi… Carolus filius noster prim ogenitus… Beatricem filiam nostram… Isabellim filiam nostram…" a nd naming "bonæ memoriæ Domini Raimundi Berengarii quondam patris no stri" [4].
