The wife of Eudes is named by Nithard who records "Hirmentrude, daug hter of Odo and Ingiltrud" as the wife of Charles [1]. The primary sou rce which establishes that she was the daughter of Adalhard [III] ha s not so far been identified. However, the ''Annales Bertiniani'' sugg est that she was the sister of Adalhard [IV] when they record that "Ca rlomannus, Hlodowici regis Germaniæ" sought refuge with "Adalardo, Yr mintrudis reginæ avunculo, suo autem propinquo" after he was banishe d by his father following his rebellion in 861 [2]. m [as his second w ife,] EUDES [Odo] Comte d'Orléans, [ADRIANUS [Udalrichinger] & his wi fe Waldrada ---] ([770/80]-killed in battle [Touraine] Jun 834).] [1 ] Nithard IV.6, p. 173.
