Orderic Vitalis records that "Engenulfu s et Richuereda uxor eius" donated the deceased´s horse to Ouche afte r "Rogerius primogenitus Engenulfi de Aquila filius" was killed, date d to [1059/61] [1]. The ''Chronique de Normandie'', based on le Roma n de Rou, names "Engenous de l´Aigle" among those who took part in th e conquest of England in 1066 [2].
