Costruì il palazzo a Brescia in via Tosio, all'angolo con via Gabriel e Rosa. La famiglia risiedeva sempre a Brescia, in contrada S. Alessan dro. Fu comandante di battaglia contro Mantova. '''Lothar Chizzola , "Storia della famiglia Chizzola. 900 anni e nessun riposo?", Vienn a 2010, p. 34:''' Purtroppo anche il destino di Francesco non fu fort unato, una lite con la famiglia vicina dei Martinengo-Cesaresco gli co stò la vita insieme a quella del figlio Jo. Antonius (5) il 19.April e 1637. “Dieci anni dopo, nel 1637 , troviamo una procura ad lites f atta da Camillo Martinengo Cesaresco ai fratelli, poi il suo nome scom pare dai documenti domestici per altri dieci anni. Che cosa era avvenu to? Camillo aveva vecchie ruggini contro i nobili Chizola, e un brutt o giorno il Cav. Francesco Chizzola e suo figlio Giov. Antonio Chizzol a furono trovati morti. I sospetti del duplice omicidio caddero natura lmente sul conte Camillo, il quale subodorato il vento infido, fata pr ocura generali ai fratelli, si rese uccel di bosco varcando i confin i dello stato veneto. I Rettori ne ordinarono l’arresto, quando egl i era ben al sicuro - vecchie astuzie di polizia politica - ma fatto i l processo il conte fu condannato in contumacia al bando, alla pena ca pitale se preso, e alla confisca dei beni. Per assegnare questo estrem o di pena a un potente signorotto bisognava che la giustizia avesse ra ggiunto delle prove schiaccianti della sua colpevolezza nel misfatto.
