| Note | '''Da Wikipedia, l'enciclopedia libera.''' Ermengarda de Hesbaye (77 8 – 818) fu regina dei Franchi e Sacra Romana Imperatrice. Figlia d el conte di Hesbaye, Ingramm (nipote di Rotrude, moglie di Carlo Marte llo) e di Edvige di Baviera. L'Hesbaye era un'antica regione del Belgi o, che comprendeva l'attuale provincia di Liegi e parte del Brabante V allone, del Brabante Fiammingo, del Limburgo e di Namur. Nel 794 spos ò Ludovico il Pio, figlio di Carlomagno. Nel gennaio dell'814, all a morte di Carlomagno, Ludovico ereditò l'impero e fu incoronato a Re ims, nell'agosto dello stesso anno, dal Papa Leone III, assieme a Erme ngarda.
